Water Baptism:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit . . .  Matthew 28:19

At CFC we believe that water baptism is a public declaration that you have chosen to accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and is an important step of obedience in the believer's life as an acknowledgment of your personal salvation. Water baptism is a symbolic representation of forgiveness and cleansing of sin that comes only through a confession of faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is a symbol of our death, burial, and resurrection to new life in Christ.

Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.  Romans 6:3-4

We encourage any believer who has never been baptized to participate in our next baptism celebration. You may register at The Starting Point class or with the Pastoral Care Ministry. You will be notified of the next scheduled date and given additional details.

Communion:

Communion is a sacred time during our Worship Services where we come together as a family of believers to remember and celebrate what Christ did for us so that we might have eternal life. Communion is a time we remember His life, death and resurrection.

. . . And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup , saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.  1 Corinthians 11:24-26

When taking part in communion and receiving the symbolic elements of Christ's body and blood, Scripture cautions us to do so with an attitude of self-examination, always honoring the body of Christ.

A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.  1 Corinthians 11:28

Communion is available every week during our Sunday morning Worship Services.
